Need help with my 99 Accord. please and thank you
i have been having problems at idle with my rpms. i cleaned the egr valve because thats the CEL code i was getting. after the first cleaning my rpms went up to 1500 which was worse then before i started. then today i cleaned the egr valve very well and the fast idle thermo valve ( i believe) and now my rpms are up to 2000 at idle or neutral. i also have the torque conveter solinoid circut code coming up on my CEL.
can someone help me with this please?

yes the iac is located on the back of the intake next to the throttle body. is the idle jumping when cold, hot, or both? guessin since you said at idle then its when its hot. your iac controls the idle when hot while you fitv controls it when cold.
iac usually arent the cheapest parts so i would try to find a used one if you find out you have to replace it.
to look for vacuum leaks with engine running you go under the hood and listen very closely for any whistling. check all the vacuum hoses, gaskets that have been removed, and intake manifold nipples to make sure they are all sealing good. cap off the nipples, replace broken hoses and replace old gaskets and make sure to tighten all the bolts correctly
not sure about the solenoid circuit code.

i have an accord not a civic so my iac is not located on the back of the intake its on the throttle body itself on the bottom. i cleaned it and it stopped the pulse rpming. theyre just high now still because i has a vacuum leak at the hose from my egr going in between my fuel inectors
One idea on the vacuum leak hunt I thought worth repeating, though I've not tried it myself - a buddy suggested taking a small propane torch, unlit of course, and holding it near the vacuum connections with the propane on. Says that the idle will change if the motor is ingesting any of the propane and you'll know where your leak is.
Hope this helps.
