Well I took my gsr block to the shop to get it built and now they are staying the motor ,won't spin.

Ls crank nd rods
New bearing ,oil pump ,water pump.

They said they put the motor together but it won't spin , what would be the problem .

i have no idea , im letting my local machine shop assemble the bottom end, they called me today after like 2 weeks saying that they put the motor together and it would spin..
they said either the crank or the block is bad..

honestly i think its the clearances but i thought the machine shop, would of figure that out tho..

Find a new machine shop ASAP. If they cant tell you whats bad, they shouldnt be messing with engines at all...

And you think they would have caught the clearances being too tight if they had measured it...
Common sense tells me to loosen up the main caps and see if it will spin then.

so let me get this straight you took your engine to a machinist to have them assemble it for you and they are saying it is seized and they don't know why, I mean are they stupid or something, it's not rocket science.

I personally would go pick my engine up, unanounced of course and take my engine from those incompentent fools and take your business elsewhere.

If you don't mind me asking when they called you and told you it was siezed what did they suggest, did they try and sell you more work and time in your engine???

From what I've seen, they just hit a little with an 89mm crank... Not quite enough to prevent the engine from turning over at all, but this IS a concern that the machine shop probably has no idea about..

Get your engine away from them ASAP before they do something stupid like increase the bearing clearances with a dremel.

this is scary that a machine shop can't figure it out.

I agree...or loosen the main bolts one journal at a time as that can tell you if the crank is bent.

why would they not notice/tell you this before the motor was assembled. either that "machine shop" is not competent enough to be called a machine shop or your relaying info wrong.

i dont think ive seen a honda spin a main bearing . im trying to think back
