98 Civic with clutch problems
New to the site, as this is my last alternative to my problem... Don't know what else to do.
YEAR: 1998
MAKE: Honda
MODEL:Civic EX 4DR
ENGINE: B18C1 (GSR)
TRANNY: GSR Tranny
Ok, So recently I've been having trouble with my clutch, (Grinding, not going into gear etc.)
Took the car to my friends house, he check the fluids, they were all topped off, he did notice that the clutch pedal had clutch fluid on it, and requested that I should replace the clutch master cylinder, being that there's a leak, my system had air and no pressure was building, so it was basically like I was "Shoving" the shifter into gear.
So, I did just that, bought a new cylinder, replaced it, bled the system, and the shifter still won't engage from a dead stop. The car "jerks", "stalls out" but will eventually (Playing with the shifter for 15 minutes.) get into gear, once in gear the car will shift very smoothly, no grinds at all. I'm running out of options, I don't have the funds to take the car to a professional, but if that's what it comes down to I'll have to pull $$$ out of my ***, and It'll most likely be costly.
Any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated,
Regards, Mike.

Clutch cylinder? How do you get fluid on the clutch pedal? Did you replace the master or the slave? YOu also would want to start titling your posts to be a liitle more specific than "HELP!" as per the forum rules.
If there is fluid on the clutch pedal you might want to inspect the master as well. I've heard of these leaking but not to the point that they leak onto the pedal assembly.
They will leak onto the pedal if the seal is shot, I have seen it once or twice over the years.
OP, replace the Master cylinder and rebleed the system.
