ITB & GT style exhaust worth it?
I'm curious about a built H22 with individual throttle bodies OR a GT style exhaust. What I mean by that is custom piping branching from the exhaust downpipe towards both sides of the car near the rear wheels. I wanna kno if these would go good with a setup and if they actually make good power and numbers without drastic side effects. If anyone has done this or know about it feel free to share
First of Kinsler or nothing for ITB's. Have $2k + ready. Most race exhaust are a straight section off the header then a turn down before the bend near the fuel tank.
Also why are you making a thread comparing itb's to an exhaust setup????? 2 WAY different things that serve 2 different purposes. I mean if you were asking like itb's vs standard manifold then that makes sense. I no understand and you made my head hurt.
I'm not comparing them. I wanna know how they are on the dyno. I just wanted to kno about them individually. They may seem stupid to some ppl but if its a sole track car making optimum power I think they're ideal
Well huge variables there also, what type of itbs, what size bore, velocity stack length, runner length, etc....
Basically what I'm seeing here is a "whats my hp" type of thread..

Fuel injection and individual throttles are a good setup for a purpose built N/A race engine. As for dual exhaust, I think a properly design 4-1 header with tuned length primaries would be better than a dual 2-1 system. IMO the 4-1 with a good collector would take better advantage of exhaust scavenging. Anything after the collector is just removing the gasses from the drivers seat. So in the case of a race only car a side exit 4-1 would work.

Ahhhh ever think that maybe no one else runs this exhaust or those that do don't call it a "gt exhaust" or people that have it don't wanna post up at risk of being flamed hardcore haha, just sayin
**** I would lol. Grand touring sport cars use em. So they must be beneficial and theyre high revving horsepower cars. in theory they should make amples of peak torque& horsepower above 7500 RPM. That's the highest I've seen an h22 peak at and I'm actually really disappointed in the h series potential after that.
