Default 5-Speed Questions Fast Replies would be very nice!!

Ok so I finally got my 5-speed in, everything is together except for the oil, now the stick shift has a REALLY l_o_n_g throw, and I seem to NOT need the clutch pedal to engage the gears...meaning that I can shift thru all five w/o even touchin the clutch pedal. (CAR HAS NOT BEEN ON THE ROAD YET) nor do I intend to untill this is checked out! Thanks guys for the help!!

When car is not running you should be able to go thought all gears without using the pedal. Now if the engine running you got yourself a serious problem.

As for the shift throw. It's most likely a worn out linkage/bushing.

lol ha ha ha, thx for encouragement man!! I spent 200$ for my non Si tranny, and whatever less for missalanious nuts and bolts, dust boot & axel, and a handful of favors, I REALLY REALLY do not want to start another thread, I want to be on the road!! hopefully tonight I should be cruizin up & down my driveway ha ha, that will be about it untill I get it to the mechanic tomorrow to give the car a once over!!
