f22b1 swap civic
Hello everyone,
I have a 93 civic hatchback swapped with a f22b1 motor. The f22b1 came out of a 95 accord ex. Its rebuilt and bored out to 87mm. The oem spec is 85mm. I got it to start, but the only thing is that it will not idle over 3000 rpm. The car will drive and go into gears, but cant go over 3000rpm. May it be that its not getting enough fuel? Anyone with any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

It's not supposed to idle over 3K. Now revving past 3K is a different story. Are you getting any CELs? This really should go in the Hybrid forum. Correct ECU?
Yes it does have cel. Im just using an auto p28 to get the car started. By the way, it was an auto car, but i converted it to 5 speed. Im pretty sure i did the auto to manuel correct because it started on the first try. Would the auto p28 make the car not go over 3000 rpm?
the auto ECU is seeing "faulty/disconnected plugs" where the trans. should be and going into limp mode. get the right ECU and see if you still have any problems.

on second thought, pull the codes first to be sure. i would expect them to be somewhat related to the transmission. if not, double check your wiring and confirm 100% that the P28 factory tune will work with the F22 (that would surprise me if the factory tune ran well... and i'm assuming this because you didn't say "chipped P28")
