i have a fresh b16a3 block with ACL race bearings and arias 11.1 comp but just got an offer for a b16b (ctr) block all stock...what you you guys run??
im going N/A and i have a built head...
also use the ctr trans or ls?

Id stick with the a3 block, and you definitly wanna go with the ctr tranny

 

I would rather have the B16B and it's tranny.

yea the ctr would be better. stock they rev to 9k. the block is the same deck height as a b18c, but uses the same crank as the b16 with longer rods and of course ctr pistons. so if you have a built head you would be good to go.. and personally ls trans are worthless unless your turbo or want gas mileage. so ctr is a good choice..

and tear down the block n make sure everything is in good condition.

 

would my ACL race bearings from my b16a3 fit into the ctr? main and rod

 

yea. the crank is the same. just the rods are longer
