I'm new to this Honda stuff and it feels like I need to take a class to learn everything about a Civic right now...lol
Basically im looking for a exhaust system thats not to loud. I dont wanna be going 10mph and people could hear me on the next block.
Any recommendations ?

megan racing header and a stock muffler with a tip is what i run. its got a nice tone to it but its pretty quiet. its better than hearing bwaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!! everytime you hit the gas.
i have ebay header 2.5" tubing to a magnaflow muffler it sounds diffrent than other hondas and isnt to loud nice and deep but like grumblemarc said No one can tell you how loud something is. You have to hear it.
If your gunna use youtube, have a good set of speakers or headphones that can pick up bass otherwise, you won't hear the deeper notes of the exhaust and it will ALL sound like ****.
Either way, I've heard good things about the twin loop mufflers. They still allow more flow but they are quite because of their bends. And like Townson said, headers with the rest of the exhaust stock will get you a little more throttle response and it will sound close to stock. But lemme tell you, once you feel that little bit extra power, i can almost guarantee you will get a full exhaust system. When I bought my car I told myself I I WILL NOT TOUCH THIS CAR, but due to my stock exhaust mani being cracked, i purchased an ebay "performance" header and immediatley noticed some gains and now I'm waiting on my kyb agx struts, SRI, velocity stack, cat-back and my powersteering belt is removed, BUT THATS IT, Im not doing anything more unless my engine blows. (or so i say)

Since Im not a fan of grapefruit shooters sticking out of the rear bumper, i went with 3" magnafow res and muffler.(cuz of boost) Its a deep tone and not raspy or like a fartcan.

Before my magnaflow, i was using Magnaflow res and vibrant sleeper muffler.
heres what the vibrant sounded like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4k24H523f0
If you want to do a kit like this, you can get tubing here >>

weird. mine sounds nothin like that ^.
don't use ebay. use oval mufflers not coffee cans. keep the cat. then just pick parts. its an exhaust not rocket science. too loud more res.
