Default Ignitor ICM delete remove, removal, bypass

Excuse the title, I just did that for search purposes.

A very informative thread, and the reason for my question
https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...ght=icm&page=2

I am indeed removing the stock ICM and will be using a Mallory 6A Ignition Box with Crane PS92 Coil, running stock ECU (Neptune). Would any of the ignition values need to be adjusted to suit the way the ecu/ignition box fires?

I will be using this circuit

And would I be correct in assuming that this is how I am wiring it up?

A friend of mine did this several years ago and found it to be less reliable than the ICM.

It kept blowing the coils IIRC. Worked great for years without the bypass, hook up the bypass and it killed two coils in a span of months. Went back to stock, no further problems.

Make sure you have a way to get home, good luck with it.
