My dash lights are out, I've checked the fuses and everything where I'm at now is checking the cigarette lighter for a short. The reason I believe it is here is because I noticed the tray comes on every once in a blue moon the problem is, when I took it apart the harness tested fine even though I was able to mess with it to make it flash on and off. I feel like the short is in the first bit off wiring but not sure how to really tell or what to do?

change the dimmer switch, i have a 94 accord, had same problem. the dimmer switch goes bad after awhile. get one at a junk yard!

 

I checked the dimmer as well it showed fine in the voltage, I tested the **** and that worked as well and the wiring. Do you think it could still be the dimmer? I was thinking maybe the ground might be bad somewhere but I have no idea how to tell or where the ground even connects to? Also thank you for replying I was starting to think no one was going to voice an opinion.

Yes but I just swapped it out this week because I had a better one in my truck everything seemed fine there although I don't really know what to look for.

 

You most likely have a wiring issue here then.

They are tied to the same 'Small Lights' fuse under the hood.

 

Alright, cool thank you man, that's the next thing I'm checking I took everything apart in the console today again just to double check everything. Hopefully I find the problem tomorrow. This is my first honda I bought it to learn more about them and engines. I must say I'm enjoying working on it.
