Default B16a Build

So far here's. My build

B16 head
Type r intake cam
Gsr exhaust cam
Skunk 2 adjustable cam gears
Skunk 2 valve springs with titanium retainers
Ferrea valves

B16a block
Eagle knife edge crank
Eagle rods
Acl bearings
Wiseco 9.5:1 pistons

Aem Cai
Stock exhaust manifold
Stock I'm
With apexi n1 exhaust

I'm also throwing a zex 75 shot on it an getting it tuned on a s100.
Being a b16 and having low compression I know it's not gonna be the fastest thing in the world but I can't put higher cr pistons in it for awhile. it is my dd but I was wondering what are some ideas to get some more power out of it with this low cOmpression?

yea the 9.5-1 is going to kill it really be better off keeping ur stock pistons in it and no real need for the eagle rods but as fare as making more power on this set up only real way is to boost it

if thats the case, i suggest changing out the pistons for stock B16A pistons or even the B16B pistons to at least give it better drivability

u can prolly sell off ur wiseco and make some money after getting the stock B16A or B16B pistons

well about 35 refills with a 10lb nitrous bottle could get you a nice decent turbo kit.
just think about that.

What would be a good compression ratio to run nitrous but still be a dd an use pump gas?

Depending on your shot of dope, i'd recommend running 10.5 or 11.0

I'll probably start out with a 75 shot but will move up to a 100 shot

I think wiseco makes like a 10.7:1 cr piston. Is that Safe with 100 shot?

whay dont u just use a set of p30 pistons and mill ur head .010 should git you right around 10.80:1 comp if u went with jdm ITR p73's itl be a little highter like 10.85:1

you dont need forged pistons really if u thank thats gona sove ur motor ur verry mustaken yea thay will hold up to more abuse but as long as you have the car tuned right and arnt power greedy with the nitris oem pistons will do just fine ull ware out wrings b4 ull kill pistons

reson why NOS kills motors is people giting power hungry and leaning the motor out creating a crap lode of heet and denachen

the only advanteg ull see is it will be a we bit lighter but youre cam choises dont really call for it you wont be reaving high enouf to matter and what u will be reving ull git there quicker but in the end ull be spending 600-1000 for a little bit of nothing be just as good with stock pistons (if u wana spend the money you can do a desent set of i beam rods thay will hold up to any thing ull be puting that motor threw on that set up)

I just figured since I already have the crank and rods I would keep it built since own pistons won't fit On those rods

I'm gonna go with the wiseco 10.7:1 pistons but I also want to get more aggressive cams I was thinking about Brian crowed stage 2s or the toda b's. Or should I go with skunk 2 cams to match my valvetrain and cam gears?
