If the engine really is a DOHC engine then it is most likely not stock, and could be one of several engines. Is the valve cover in the car factory painted? If so what color. Take pictures of the engine in the car. Also look at the engine between the exhaust manifold and transmission. It will have a casting of F22** or H22**. If its VTEC the valve cover will have VTEC cast into it.

it is a f22b2 and you can put what ever you dream up under the hood but for a drop in swap would be a h22 or a f20 both dohc

The starters are in different locations due to space issues with each transmission. The AT has it on top the MT has it on the side. The starters do not interchange with each other, if you are using the MT you use the MT starter, if using the AT you use the AT starter.

If you are still unsure of what engine you have, and depending on what market the car is originally from/intended for. More than likely its a North American car and it will have an F22A1(125HP) or if EX model the F22A6(140HP). Check this link for where to look for the engine stamping http://asia.vtec.net/topics/enginecode.html

As for largest engine, there isn't any difference in size of the F or H series engines in the North American market, 90-97 Accords and Preludes both came with 2.2 Liter engines. The major difference is in the heads. SOHC, DOHC, VTEC, non-VTEC. Later 98-02 cars did come with a 2.3 F or H engine.

The most potent stock engine would be a H22 VTEC engine ~190HP. If you wish to take full advantage of this engine, couple it with the Prelude H22 VTEC transmission for better acceleration over the Accord transmission.
