Default White smoke on start sometimes

Sometimes after my 86 Accord (standard trannie) 213k miles, has been sitting there is white smoke upon starting. Goes away and doesn't blow white while driving. Doesn't loose coolant, doesn't overheat. My first thought was Head gasket . But it never happens when car is warm, and exhibits no other signs. Could it be valve stem seals ...maybe? Getting ready to pull the plugs tomorow to inspect and drain coolant/change oil. Thanks in advance.

Probably worn valve seals. If you do a compression test, that will tell you if it's a headgasket or not. Mine used to have a tiny tiny amount of smoke on startup (only on really cold days it seemed). When I did the headgasket, I had a valve job done with new valve seals and all, and they replaced 1 valve guide as well. Haven't seen one bit of smoke since
