Default Suspension tuning

Currently I have lowering springs installed with a 2 inch drop. I was wondering if I could buy springs that still have a drop but are more loosely sprung to absorb more of the bumps?

Is there anything else I could do to make the ride less stiff?
And
Are lowering springs or adjustable coilovers better or worse for ride quality?

I am aware that as a result of having a lower ride the suspension wont have as much room to travel and will be more stiff than a stock application. I was just looking for ways to make it better even if its little improvements.

What shocks, and springs are they?

From what i read, I would suggest ground controls coilovers. Also, the rear spring will have much more of an affect on ride qualitly then the front will.

Once we get a little more info, we will be able to help you much more.

Is this your DD, what is your budget? is there any spirited driving or any tracking in the future?

EDIT- Also, progress coilovers, are fantatic for the money.

The reason why I suggest coilovers is the adjustbility, as well as most give you the option to change your spring rates.

You can get springs with various heigth and rates as a simple answer. You need enough rate to keep off the bottom as suggested. You did not mention other things that affect ride quality and feel. 70 series tires absorb little, as do non-rubber bushings. Springs on Ebay do not always give rates. Some are high for DD and are harsh, especially with stock shocks, and may have blown the shocks.

Thanks for the suggestion but Ive considered the tire aspect. Im sticking to my 195/50-15. There is no way I'm going to 70 series tires.

And where could I get springs with the different heights and spring rates? Is there a good site you can reference?

Ground control as I stated. They offer different, as well as the spring rates.

example for the front, you could do 8'' 450lb springs, and in the rear use 7'' 350lb springs. 8F and 7R is the general lengh for civics/integra's.

What kind of car did you have?

Tein also lists length and rate. I was not suggesting that you go to 70 series, but noting that it can make ride more harsh.
