Default I need a few things cleared up about ECU tuning

This isn't a realm I have crossed over to. I have never had my own laptop or anything. So let me get this straight, you download Crome and then plug the computer into the wiring harness for the ECU and set the ROM numbers according to my personal preference? Where do I get the cable to run from a computer to the OBD1?

I read that the 92-95 DX non Vtec ECU doesn't need any chipping or modifications. Is that true?

I don't want to make it vtec. So how does the computer connect to the chip?

hondata uses a wire, samething with ostrich's to connect to ecu. if your running a chip, you burn the chip using the chip burner and put it in the ecu,

So essentially, I would get a chip kit, install it, then program the chip, put everything back together, and it will be tuned?

So as far as the actual tuning goes, that is where plugging in the laptop comes into play; to read how it is running? I might actually do this, seems like it would be pretty worth the money and effort.

It's not as easy as it sounds or as hard as it may seem, but if you don't know what you're doing you'll blow **** up.

Take EFI 101 if you're serious.
