EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED! NO INFO ON WEB! HELP PLEASE!
So I'm new to the whole turbo thing. I'm a total noob.... I have 3 simple questions that no page or picture on the web answers...
1. What do you need to get to install a turbo?
I know you need the actual turbo, downpipe, manifold, piping to the throttle body, blow off valve, wastegate, and stuff for the oil. I also know you need an intercooler. Anything else???
2. Where does the air intake and downpipe go?????? In every picture I find, the system is just one big circle!!!!! It goes from the exhaust manifold>turbo>piping>intercooler>piping>throttle body>intake manifold>engine>exhaust manifold again! Where does the car take in air? How do you connect anything to the cat back exhaust system?? I know you use a downpipe but where???
This is sooo frustrating. Please help. Pictures of this would be appreciated.

Think about it like this, the exhaust is used to spin an oil cooled turbine. That faster that turbine spines, the more air will be forced into the engine. For every 15 lbs of boots, horsepower doubles. An engine isn't anything more than an air pump. Think of a turbo charger as an additional air pump powered by exhaust.

No info on web? Do you think anyone is really going to believe that you could not find anything about turbocharging your car on the entire internet? Link in my sig.

Your second question indicates that you have no clue and need to do a LOT MORE READING. The link I provided is a good start.

Ok... maybe the question wasn't clear... I KNOW (for the most part) how a turbo works. What I can't find anywhere is where on the turbo does the downpipe go? No picture I can find shows this! That picture answered my question as to where the air intake goes. Now where can I find one that will fit??? It doesn't come with the turbo kit off turbo-kits.com
just what are you a 'proffessa' of? not searching anyways.
every aspect of turbo-ing a 92-00 civic/del sol has been beaten to death on this and many, many other forums.
there are 2 parts to a turbocharger, the turbine/hot/exhaust and compressor/cold/intake.
the turbine does NOT flow to the compressor, rather it spins the turbine wheel which is connected to the compressor wheel (by a shaft) which compresses (or charges) the air coming in.
after going through the turbine, the exhaust gasses exit via the downpipe through the 'catback' etc.
now you know almost as much about turbochargers as my 4 year old daughter.
