idle problems after flooring...

Default idle problems after flooring...

ok i have a jdm b16a in my 93 si... it has a aebs mani on it with header, cams... tune on chrome pro... recently just start having this problem. when i floor my car and rev it to redline it starts idling low then dies and black smoke would poof out of my exhaust....if it turn off the car and start it back on it idle normals... it only seems to happen when i punch my car pass vtec.... it never done this before... i have clean the iacv and still no help... i have change out my map sensor and nothing.. im planing on switching throttle body tomorrow to see if that the problem... anyone have ideas?? had this motor for a year and just a dd car i smash it like once a month seriously... my cousin told me it could be my ecu too that someting probably burnt....

Maybe you shouldn't rev to redline. Thats like turning your radio all the way up and assuming you're not going to damage your speakers.

This is highly unlikely the problem, but check where your throttle cable is connected to your throttle body and see if when you floored it that it didn't move the cable out of place.

Black smoke = fuel -- so sounds like a misfire issue.

CEL codes?

If a car is healthy there should be no problem running to redline or close to it. These cars are designed to rev.

ok so i found out that it only happens when i go pass 6k than it starts choking out, throwing black smoke.... unplug my map sensor same thing.. than car dies... plug it back in start up car and everything fine again.. no smoke, no weird idling....

last tune up was 2months ago... started having this problem last week...change oil every 3k miles, just change out plugs to ngk iradiums..change out wires back to oem... got a new rotor for the dizzy... and no cels

yes it does... when i unplug the map sensor it comes on....

maybe perhaps u have bad tune i would check and consider that if all your intial checks out good
