I'm sure you didn't search hard at all. Someone just posted this last week. Screwed up his engine.

Why do you think it needs "cleaning"?

It should be safe to add Seafoam to the gas tank and through the brake booster vacuum hose. For the latter, replace the spark plugs afterwards. Adding to the crankcase is a matter of choice, but I think that it's also probably okay for an engine with 80K miles as long as you follow the directions.

I know 30-40 people personally that have used seafoam to clean their engines, never did any harm.

Most do it through the brake booster vac hose, and then watch the huge white smoke clouds----and believe they just cleaned their engine out..

Im not convinced it does anything--- although 90% of the people I know say they feel an immediate difference.

Id say try it.....and see how it goes. As far as I know, its completely safe (as long as you follow the directions)

BG44K is what was recommended to me by my local Honda dealership. I didn't buy it there because I was skeptical but I've used it many times over the years and like the results.

I'll tell you yes yes yes. Seafoam is jesus juice for motors, does an amazing job. Especially if you do it right and put it on a dripper and let idle for 30 min.

just to add a bit more to the list of replies...

when used properly, Sea Foam can work. there was no appreciable effect in my civic, but my wife's accord was like a different car after running it through. it must have been dirtier.

SeaFoam works great if used correctly, those idiots that have messed something up using it had other problems or were just plain stupid. I've used it dozens of times and my old man does as well at his shop with never a single complaint or problem.
