Stock GSR sleeves stronger than LS sleeves?
Stock vs Stock are GSR sleeves stronger than LS sleeves? I currently have a B18B and I am considering either to ls/vtec it or go with a GSR longblock. If I ls/vtec then I will change the pistons out to higher comp. I am worried about the sleeves though. And aftermarket sleeving is not a choice.
Thanks guys.

I'm pretty sure they are of the same design..one may not be stronger than the other. I think the increased longevity of the GSR is more from the different rod ratio and piston oil jet instead.
The GSR and LS sleeves are of the same material make and bore size. The B20 sleeves are a different material and bore size than those two. I'm going to put my money down that the GSR and LS sleeves (ignoring all else) are similar in strength.

i would think that the GSR sleeves are stronger...i know that the internals in general are sronger than the LS to deal with higher rpm's and such... but that's just my guess.
They are the exact same strength. They are made from the exact same material, from the exact same place, installed in the exact same manner and have the exact same specs., so they are the same, definately!
