Default codes 1,2,7,8 from Tranny!

No rhyme or reason, every now again my D4 lights blinks after you start the vehicle, will not shift, will not really go. Feels like it is trying to start out on too high of a gear. I can manually go from D1>D2>D3 then at D4 it does not shift. The speedo and tach and cruise work. I got 4 codes from the Tranny: 1,2,7,8. I am thinking electrical, bad wire, chewed my a mouse, got too hot . . . any ideas?
thanks
Zeek

Those are the codes for the shift control solenoids. 1-2 are that the shift control solenoids are disconnected, and 7-8 are that there is an issue with the shift control solenoids.

Locate them and see if they have been disconnected from the electrical harness. Possibly disconnected due to work done, and never reconnected properly. The connectors will be grey and green. Located on the side of the transmission facing the radiator on I4 models.

Possibly a loose/corroded connection somewhere. Or the resistors are going bad inside the TCU.

checked all the wiring, I did find one wire mildly chewed, it was the one that goes down to the left of the tranny, the wiring to the solenoids was good, I checked the TCU like the post you linked said to and all was well. I did fix the chewed wire and have yet to drive it long enough to see if it does it again. I also ohmed out the solenoids, 30 Ohms on both, I tested them and they do click when power is applied,
Will post back.
