I want to buy a type r head from this guy in east LA but how can I check if it is stolen? I know that blocks have codes and a vin but how about the head?

 

i dont think there is any way to tell if a head is stolen.

 

I wouldn't worry about IMO.

 

there is no way to tell if its stolen you or the person who it was stolen from will never know

 

definitely try and get the papers bud...

 

Man that sucks. He is selling the complete head with intake manifold for $1500 including sensors and injectors. I don't know if that is a good deal but he claims it is complete. I hope it did not come from a stolen type r.

 

ask him where the rest of the engine is and you want to get the block number and vin number.

 

when you go to the buyers house ask him if he has the lower block still? or where it came from.
