New Headgasket Install Questions Using Hylomar
I have gone through many many head-gaskets and blown engines with this civic. D17 Turbo-ed with Kpro.
Anyways, Head gasket on the JY Motor I got is bad. Turbo is also bad blowing insane amounts of smoke.
Also Coolant is blowing out of Overflow Res, AGAIN.
Just got a new turbo Today, Upgraded my T25 for a T28.
Purchased a OEM Head-gasket, Intake Manifold Gasket and Exhaust Manifold Gasket.
ARP Head-studs are also in my possession.
I read online and I have seen mixed reviews with the Copper Spray Headgasket Sealer. So I looked into it further.
Hylomar is what Rolls Royce Uses on their gaskets.
Anyways, I was looking at my gasket (OEM MLS Gasket) and when I go to spray this gasket with 3 light coats. Should I spray where the coolant Jackets go? or try and cover it.
I called hylomar and they said to spray the whole thing. I just don't want the stuff to fall off and get into the coolant.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

yea... Whats the story on the head itself? Did you every check it to see if it is warped? If it is, resurfacing it might solve your problem altogether...
yes i get the head resurfaced. This time was on OEM headstuds on a junkyard motor.
I need to know if its okay to spay those coolant passages or will it not make a difference?
