Mine also did that, and I did pretty much everything OP did to correct this.
I found out that one of my tires wasn't 100% round (cheapies) and when I bought new tires, the vibrations went away...........for a while.

I installed a ST front sway bar last night. Switched to gsr front CAs, and everything went on without trouble.

After testing it out on the road, it was running great, but when I got on the highway this morning, the steering wheel started shaking like Robert Downy jr at a coke party! I swear, I thought my damn tires were going to come off. I pulled over and checked them, they were good.

Only when I get to around 80mph. Under 75, nothing. Over 95, nothing. I am truly confused by this.

I have a 96 DX hatch btw.

I'm starting to think it may be the steering wheel. I put ans S2000 wheel, and noticed a tiny bit of slack when turning the wheel quickly to the left and right.
I might be crazy, but I'll try throwing the stock wheel back on and see what happens.

I've already checked ball joints and no leaking...

I'll see if the wheel is the culprit.

shouldnt be the wheel. the spline is the same and its bolted on fairly tight.

Dammit! I knew that, but I was half in denile that the steering wheel was the problem...

I took the steering wheel off and all splines are what they are supposed to be, but I still feel there is slight play in the wheel when installed.

I guess this whole situation is causing parinoia.
