Default Off topic: My appologies.

I have been rather "crabby" lately, as some of you can tell by my posts. Sorry if I have seemed to become a big ******* lately. It hasn't been intentional. Not meaning to vent my personal issues, but new stresses I have been under have given me a new reality check on my own mortality. I am undergoing testing for throat cancer. God willing, I don't have it, but the testing is stressfull and I have been taking my frustrations out on people around me and to some here on this site. Again, I offer my appologies to those I might have offened.

It's ok Scott. You have reason to be upset. I hope the results are negative.

Yeah that can be quite stressful, my wife went through a scare a couple years ago, thankfully everything was all right. Hope everything comes out OK, hang in there.

If you did offend anyone im sure all is forgiven with your explanation.

Coming from someone who has been very sick before I hope it turns out negative.

Hey man, even though I am new to these forums and don't know too many of you, I'm really sorry to hear this. My Aunt recently got cancer, but they caught it early and just a few months later she is brighter than ever.

I hope you don't have this, or it is benign.

Good luck !!

I didn't expect so many replies. I don't know what to say exactly, but thankyou guys very much for your support and prayers. The odds are in my favor, however, I have been dealing with issues related to this for almost 2 yrs now. I have been in to the hospital many times for sever chest pains and they had just sent me away with a diagnosis of heartburn. Come to find out if left untreated (heartburn) it is one of the leading causes of throat cancer. Hopefully this isn't the case for me, but time has passed and that is the enemy right now. If any of you suffer from heartburn, take it seriously please and get checked out. According to my new specialist Throat cancer is becoming more common in men my age. I am 31. Throat cancer is usually fatal. I am not being a pessimist here, My outlook is positive, but I say these things as a word of caution that it may help someone else.

Man I'm really sorry to hear that, Scott. I know I don't really know you either, but I always hate to see any peeps have to go through this kind of stuff. You'll be in my prayers and best of luck to ya.

That heartburn can be some nasty stuff. My dad has had alot of problems with that acid reflux for the last couple years. He was at work once and they had to call 911 and take him to the emergency room because he and coworkers thought he was having a heart attack, but it just turned out to be a really bad case of this acid reflux. Medication hasn't really helped it much either, but a change in diet did seem to help a little From what he's told me, it's definitely no fun!

Take care
