Like the title says, hooking a 2.03 ran 12.80@115 mph and hooking a 1.83 ran 12.53@109mph is it normal for the mph to drop like that with a beter hook? My averege runs were 12.60's@ 112mph
this is normal. a little weight reduction and the mph will go back up, the hook will be better and you will run high 11's.
ps. adjust your sig. nice times.

Thanks guys, mabie I should gut the car for one event and see the diference. The only things I toke out of the car were the spare tire and jack. How heavy is a stock ITR? Plus turbo kit around 100lbs, 3"staneles exaust, and me 160lbs.
I haven't seen lower MPH's with better 60ft times, if anything the same or better. Maybe intake temps or the engine is heat soaked. Did ambient temps go up or anything else?
You haven't seen vary many drag races then. With every car, no matter the setup, if you hook better 60s you'll lower trap speed. This is assuming the tune is the same and shifts are perfect in both runs of course. It's a matter of physics not opinion.

Explain the physics to me. I've seen plenty of drag races thank you for your concern.

Our trap speeds always seem to be a little higher when we have less traction. With a better 60ft. you get to the end of the track quicker with less time to accelerate.
I thought someone might have an explanation, guess not
I picked up 2mph when I went from a 2.1 to a 1.9
