check if you plugged it in. also there's a change you mixed it up with one of the purge valve plugs.

Alright guys so i took my IAT out and its literally not there anymore... Like, the sensor has been melted/broken off and it looks melted at the end of the little nub thats left... Im ordering a new one, but WTF do you think could have caused that??

Who cares what caused it? When the replacement gets there swap it out.

Who cares what caused it? Um... You would if it was your car and your money being spent on a new 70 dollar sensor... Try and think from my point of view, if thats possible for ya. What if you bought a new sensor and it just got fried like the last one. Damn man

Really? It goes in the intake. The only thing flowing through that is air. So unless you got a fire-breathing dragon hooked up in place of your filter there's NOTHING that would cause this condition if it was installed properly.

If you had used the search instead of needlessly bumping you would have learned this.

other than that there is very little that "should" be in that area that will ever be that hot.
This would be a condition where the sensor was installed improperly. So either you did it or the previous owner did.

To not be at the mercy of having to wait for someone to answer your tech questions you might want to try this link next time.

Sorry if I come across as an *** but this wasn't even my issue and I was able to find out the answer to your question before you did.
