Default testing motor before the swap

Hey guys! (and gals havent forgotten about you dont worry!) new to the forum and just had a few questions

So i bought 2 civic si`s one with a d15 non vtec and the other is accidented in the front (thank god the damage didnt touch the motor!) with a b16a vtec.

anyway ill get to my question i wanted to run the motor (b16) before i took everything apart and start the swap. Thing is i lost the key to it so im not gonna ask for hotwiring diagrams and that crap but is there a way to power the starter and then keep the motor running for just a minute with some jumper wires?

And secondly because i have a non-vtec motor and im swapping in a vtec motor there are a few extra things that new to be wired up such as the vtec solenoid, ect. does anyone know where I could find a wiring diagram as to how i have to wire everything up.

And sorry if this is posted in the wrong area as i said new to the forum!

Thanks Pat.

The information on wiring for the swap is all in here beat to death...

https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/88-91-crx-ef-civic-frequently-asked-questions-faqs-1508680/

For running the car there are too many wires you would have to jumper. Since when do we need keys to start Hondas? Take off the steering column plastic cover and look around. If you can't figure it out from there I guess you are SOL, because I am not posting how on the Internet.
