2000 Civic Running very rough
We bought this civic a few weeks ago. Its a 2000 Ex coupe. Since buying it we have replaced the crappy ram intake with factory air box and a k&n filter in it. We have been experiencing some strange activity sense. It bogs down even in idle down to 500 or less rpms and almost dies. Runs very rough almost a to a chug. The check engine light is also on but sayin oxygen sensor and today it said the catilytic converter is clogged? So we had a cat put on and a fuel filter. Still bogging down, even as we drive down the road it bogs down and has no power unless you floor it then it kind of comes out of it for a second. Im lost. No clue what to do next. Anyone have some pointers for me? Thanks
you can try and check these spark plugs, ignition wires okay? ignition timing? timing belt is at top dead center? check the ground on the thermostat housing? Main relay? fuel pump?, fuel injectors?.
Just test drove it after plugs and injector cleaner, ran awesome, better than ever. After it set for a an hour or so, picked it up to drive it home and it puttered again. ugh
