this morning Honda of New Rochelle, NY turned me down to replace my belt, buckles and retractors..
my drivers side belt is frayed to the point that the buckle often gets stuck on the frayed belt and doesnt allow movement. you gotta jimmy the buckle thru the belt sometimes. some one who is fatter than me will have alot more difficulty than i do...

look at all of that slack. when pulled out it does not retract all the way back in and it just hangs there... I have to feed it in and it will somesimtes get stuck as i stated before.
and a video for all to see... better than the pics and my explaining...

you can ask anyone, my girl, my father(original owner), my mother, my seat belt buckle pops out more than a fckd up tranny, my father has experienced more than one popout himself. i swear and the day i take this **** in its wants to stay in. i DID not come in for cosmetic issues but half the time the fray gets caught in the buckle loop...********* tried to charge me for a piece of **** diagnotics test THE CAR IS FROM 92! DIAGNOSTICS MY *** im not payin you to yank on my seatbelt GTFO i brought the manager to the car myself.... pdf documents and all that says its covered nd they just wouldnt accept it ...smfh
the manager told me the buck is heavy so the belt stops at that point. complete BULLSHIT. i am NEVER doing business with them ever again and ill make sure none of my buddies or family take any business there...
any opinions?? or insight??? help.

Absolutely Bro. You should have been taken care of and you will.
You just need to make sure Honda NA knows about it. If I were you I'd take it to another dealer regardless... these guys might mess something else up just because you proved them wrong. Good luck.

Ill put them on blast on twitter nd write a letter to them when i get back home ... Honda service deparment in white plains, ny was very good to me. They did even charge to "diagnose" the belts. I had all papers in hand to show him proof that there was a lifetime warranty nd he said i dont need it nd proceeded with service, cool guy. So yhe results are that the passenger one didnt fail their test but the drivers side belt buckle and retractors were completely shot . They told me theyll call me in a day or two, just bring it in and we'll install it for you free of charge. Im happy so far .. too bad about the passenger side but hey im not complaining the drivers side was my main concern, bit if thry say the pass side is safe then it should be ..

Anyone know if the belts have to be what originally came? Like say you had a car with tan interior and switched to gray or black and then the driver's belt was junk?
I still have all original interior, just curious if something like that would normally be covered incase I can find different interior for my car.

Honda does this as a priviledge... There is no law stating that car makers have to warranty seatbelts for the lifetime of the car. I'm pretty sure that Honda is the only ones that do this, so don't get all bent out of shape if they turn you down, as they don't have to honor it if they dont want to.
To tell you the truth i understand why they turned you down i mean just look at the seat belt **** is tore the f up!! How long has it been like that? Im sure if you would have taken it to them as soon as it started fraying then they would have taken care of you but since you waited it looks like years why are they gonna take care of you if its not important enough for you to take it in immediately!! Warranty also states that it will not be covered if the **** is not used properly and it looks like you didnt!! You blame them for not taking care of you but i say its your fault for waiting so long!
