driver seat belt went flacid..
I noticed my driver side seat belt doesn't wind back up when I take it off and when I have it on it has no resistance, do I need to replace the whole thing or just the actual seat belt spool or whatever its called? anyone with this kind of problem in the past?

GO TO ANY HONDA DEALERSHIP. THEY ARE REQUIRED TO REPLACE YOUR BELTS AND BELT TENSIONER FREE OF CHARGE FOR THE LIFE OF YOUR VEHICLE, AS LONG AS THEY HAVEN'T BEEN TAMPERED WITH.

Check to make sure it is a Honda of America vehicle. Warranty does not apply to Honda of Canada vehicles. My local dealership did the replacement before they found out it was a Canadian vehicle, so good on them.

if they've been tampered with, if the car has been in accident, ect. They can deny replacemet for many reasons.
OP, your best bet is to make an appointment with a dealer and see if they will do anything. Don't sign anything, and don't agree to pay any labor costs.
Honda denied my friend and then tried to make him pay ~$9o.

Got my Acura integra belts replaced I live in Canada and my car started out in Toronto, I went to my Honda dealer first they then sent me to Acura who did it no fuss. you don't live in Canada...

Interesting. I did not know that they could possibly replace them under warranty.
Here's my story: When I had my roll bar welded in for my track car, my passenger side seat belt got accidentally burnt. I had a hole in it and only about half the belt was holding it together.
I still use the stock seat belts because the car is still street driven to the track and in Canada, you are required to have a stock belt where there is a seat to drive legally on the roads. Being an instructor, I sometimes install a seat on the passenger side to be able to show stuff to students on ride alongs during track days.
I managed to get a brand new belt assembly (in the Honda box) on e-bay for like 40$ + shipping. It included everything. The reel, the pillar plastic cover, and even the plastic bag at the bottom.
It took me 2 minutes to install it, but I don't have any interior panels or carpet, so I guess that helps Just make sure you torque everything to spec, and you are good to go.
