There's a guy from where I'm from selling his EG with a B16. I'm thinking about buying it from him but he says that the car keeps cutting out on him. He said he just replaced the fuel pump and that didn't really help. He said it would cut out on him monthly randomly for 5 min and then run fine for a couple days. And he said there were times when it wouldn't start at all. He changed the fuel filter and it ran fine for a week. Anyone know what the problem is or could be? This is why Im coming to HT for any clue or help before I make up my mind about buying it. I dont wanna buy it and have it crap out on me.

Yea. I don't wanna risk it, but its pretty clean overall and I was just gonna try to sell my lexus and pick it up and swap in an LS motor for the time being and try to fix the motor.
If you just plan to swap the motor and are prepared for what's ahead, then buy it if the price is right. The problem might just be a bad main relay or igniter unit, but this is just a guess.
