vtec was working fine and the CEL came on one day for no reason and its code 22.

i redid all of the wiring to make sure everything was connected right. didnt work

ive tried to bypass by connecting a4 to d6. no luck

i tried grounding d6. didnt work

tried resetting the ecu many times. as soon as i put the key in it pops on and stays on.

could somthing be wrong with the ecu? why wouldnt the bypass work for me.

 

Is the engine low? Have you measure the oil pressure? Have you cleaned or replaced the solenoid seal/filter?

 

no oil level is fine, car drives and runs fine im not sure how to check the oil pressure.
and yeah i cleaned the solenoid screen

 

What car? Maybe the oil pressure switch is bad. If it's fine, measure the oil pressure.

 

94 hatch dx with mini me swap. i think it is the switch but why isnt the bypass trick working for me? i did the trick for jdm and usdm ecu's.
the car is made in Canada does that mean the ecu is Canadian? lol
