I'm in the process of rebuilding my engine for a turbo build and read somewhere that the f23 head gasket and f22 are interchangeable. I am asking because I am going with OEM for sure and the f23 one is cheaper.

Also what other maintenance should I do while I have the head off?
replace seals, water pump, new belts, valve job. Am I missing anything?

no they are not, the f23 has a bigger bore. f22 85mm f23 86mm
