hi guys I'm new to the site but have been working n driving hondas for years right now I'm stumped I have a 94 ex coupe.d16z6 header back exhaust n Cai . Ok a couple of weeks.ago.it started missing paid no mind to it figured is do a tune up n fix it.but since then its gotten progressivly.worse.now it spits n sputters loads up idle all the way up.to 5 grand then runs normal.I've done fuel filter cap rotor plugs wires new disty new.ecu new grounds.only.cel is code.1 I've.checked timing.2 to.3 times I can't figure.it out it will have no power pulling out bog. Spit sputters back fire n sound like.s.subbie.if I can't figure it out Imma.crush it.n start dailying.my.other coupe only things I haven't check.yet which are happenin today is im gasket n compression check any help would be awesome

 

if you have changed all plugs, wires, and complete dizzy, i would lean towards a headgasket or compression issue

 

Well I'm checking compression today n if its low I'm gonna sell it I have no time.with a new born to de wit it

 

Have you checked the ignition timing with a timing gun? Are you sure the mechanical (cam & crank) timing isn't off by one tooth?

 

This and check your injectors and fuel rail.

Good compression varies on a couple different factors, dont just try stuff, figure it out then fix it. You can make the problem worse just changing things for no reason. i would just sell it if you dont have time for it but dont make it worse...

so checked everything expcept compression due to a bad compression tester it read less than 100 on every cylindar whcih in that case i dont think the car would run at all? but im at a blank i cant figure it out cleaned iac and egr im lost plz any one if ne input id appreciate

 

it is so confusing ive never had this much trouble
