b16 head question

Default b16 head question

i bought a car with an lsvtec and the blocks shot but im gonna use the head. question is what exactly do i need to do to use it on another b16 block. theres some other posts ive seen but honestly none really answered my question. and i know this isnt the place to post this bt it wouldnt let me do it anywhere else. but thanks for the info ahead of time

get a good block, take it to a machine shop make sure its mating surface is kosher, have the head decked and also checked you said the block is shot, did it damage the head? New head studs if planning on doing more engine work or going turbo use arp head studs as they are reusable, head gasket, oil, antifreeze, valve cover gasket, timing belt "kit"

yeah the head is fine. and i have mostly all af that as of now i need to build this thing soon haha. im just questioning like the dowel pin placement and the oil feed line in the head what plug is supposed to go there?

everything bimmer said. another thing make sure you take out the pipe plug that is in the vtec oil gallery if it has one.... chances are it does with a ls vtec.
