Default B series swap runing like Sh*t

Hey guys whats up..
soo here is my problem i just finished swapping a 95 b18b1 into my Ej2 or Eg coupe whatever you wanna call it. Anyways i started the car today and it runs really bad. First thing was i noticed that the car idles at 2k when i know it supposed to be some were around 750 700 if i'm not mistaken. Also when i rev the car once it gets past about 4k and then you let off the gas the engine basically turns off until about 2.5k. OK the final problem is that when i put the car into 1st gear it has absolutely no power what so ever it feels like i am starting the car off in 2nd or 3rd gear kinda thing.. If it makes any difference the car was swapped from auto to manual and i am using a p75 auto ecu <-- for now until i can get the car completely running. Any ideas for a tune up or anything? Or do you think i need to do anything else? If i didnt explain anything good enough just let me know happy to reiterate.

• Run a compression test on the cylinders
• Check your timing and spark plug wiring
• Check for any vacuum leaks, around gaskets and hoses
• If the check engine light is on find out why.

Just a few suggestions to get you thinking.

May sound stupid but I have seen people bring in cars throwing no cels with the map sensor & tps sensor plugs mixed up...

Tps sensor plug has a red middle wire usually...

If you have a cylinder with bad compression, or a leaking gasket/hose or if your firing order is off. Any one of these or a combination could cause a lack of power issue in 1st gear. Go back through and check all of the sensor connections, make sure they are tight and secure. Along with your battery + & - connection points.

Do you know the health of the engine? Did you get to see/hear it run before you swapped it?

no i didnt get to see/ hear the engine run it was already out of the car when i bought it but he said that it was running clean when he got the car he had bought the car like 2 weeks before i bought the engine he took the engine out to swap in a built lsv.. but the only thing that kinda got me thinking about the engine was that it was all repainted and sh*t like that you know.. i know for a fact the head was warped i had to get a .89mm thicker gasket to fill the gap.

im hoping that to.. but i noticed that there are 2 map sensors in the engine bay. there is one on top of the throttle body and there is one right by the fuel filter? soo does the engine harness go to the map sensor by the fuel filter or the one on the throttle body?

Hook it up to which ever one the connector will reach, and is operational. The one on the throttle body has a vacuum source for sure. Whether or not the connector will reach might be something else.
