Default cel issues

97 civic ex d16y8 just put the engine in now i have a cell foe my engine coolant temperature sensor replaced the sensor and still got the code checked with a volt meter everything is fine I have a connector that idk what its for I have pics but can't figure out how to post. The unknown connecter is a 4 pin by the ects by the dis cap

did you reset the ECU after you changed the sensor?

Make sure you are replacing/checking the correct sensor. The Engine coolant temp sensor is on the side of the head below the distributor and is a two pin connector.
