Is the G101 ground on the thermostat housing clean and tight?

Is either hood fuse 31 or dash fuse 24 blown? See FAQs sticky for fuse box diagrams.

Check those two fuses with a test light or multimeter as described at the Fuse link in my signature.

Also resolder the main relay.

Be ready with a multimeter if the suggestions above don't happen to pan out.

i checked my main relay today.no broken soldiering joints or anything.i checked all the fuel pump wires and nothing is cut or shorted out.there is no blown fuses anywhere either.i turn the key once and the relay clicks.i turn it to the on position and the check engine light comes on and the relay doesnt click.doesnt that mean the relay is bad since they work on the 3 click system?

Did you test the two fuses as I mentioned?

I am being persistent here because members regularly say their fuses are good but were not because they did not test them.

Unplug the main relay and use a jumper wire to short terminal 1 (Yel/Wht wire) to terminal 7 (Yel/Grn wire) in the connector. Does the fuel pump run?

Do the same test but turn the key to ON(II) and then jump terminal 5 (Blk/Yel wire) to terminal 7. Does the fuel pump run?

Sounds like 15A hood fuse 31 is blown. Did you test it?

1) Learn how to test fuses rather than just say they are fine.

2) The two quotes above are inconsistent. You said terminal 1 that gets power via hood fuse 31 did not make the fuel pump prime when jumped to terminal 7. This points to a blown hood fuse 31. However, you found "hood" fuse 24 blown. Hood fuse 24 doesn't exist but dash fuse 24 does. It's difficult to help you if you don't provide accurate information.

3) Test for spark. Don't guess.

What did you do to get spark?

Does the fuel pump prime now?

What color is spark?
