Default Tunning question

So I have a .57 trim "ebay" turbo on my B16 now running about 16 PSI. It has been dyno tuned by Forged Performance in Troutdale OR, I know the whole Ebay turbo is garbage deal, but my reasoning for getting that turbo was I had money for either a good turbo with an Ubderdata management street tune or a cheaper turbo with a hondata management and certified tuner tune it on the dyno. So I choose the obviouse choice here. Im getting a garette T3 .48 A/R tommorrow. Now to my question, can I run the smaller turbo on the same tune? I am going to re tune it at the same place sometime next month as I know ill need it, but for the time being I want something a little more streetable. Thank you

Get the turbo on. Just don't beat on it. I'm sure it would be fine to beat on but better to be safe that sorry.

Even if going smaller, you need to adjust your tune. Anything related to fuel or air changes (turbo, injector, or anything related to that) requires a slight retune to retain optimum efficiency.

Main thing is that its an 8 hour drive to the shop, I wanna swap the turbo before I drive up there obviously, wont be gettin on it to much, just wanna make sure itll make the long drive with cruise control set most the way. My goal is to be around 280-300WHP, as im pretty sure that turbo is only good for around 350 MAXED out... can anyone give me a ball park figure of this turbo running 12.4 PSI and the appx power? Ramhorn mani, stock B16A3 motor, 3 in DP and exhaust, DSM 450's with hondata. I dont wanna max out the injectors or go above 300 HP.

probably could have gotten a bigger turbo and went eCtune or neptune for the amount of money you spent going homodata.
