turbo tuning
I've never had a turbo car, but i'm thinking about a B16 turbo for my hatch, how hard would it be to tune the motor? please excuse my lack of knowledge. Also would i have to just tune it when i first put it on, or is it ongoing......
ps.....i won't be pushing a lot of boost....no more than 10psi...prob not even that much

It all depends on what you want to use for fuel management. An FMU for instance requires no tuning as where an AEM EMS system would regquire dyno time to get dialed in. So really its a toss up.

Well even tho I don't own a turbo, I really want to turbo my car and I'm in the same boat you are. All the research I've done on other websites and in magazines and especially reading forums here on H-T, the only "right" way to tune it is take it somewhere, buy a standalone, and let them tune it for you.
Unfortunatly, I think not very many people do this because it is so costly. So your question should probably read like this :"How can I tune my turbo B16 myself, for not much money ($750 or under), that will perform pretty good and not blow my motor?"
Good luck there.

What is the best FMU out there, and what is a FMU, I know it stands for Fuel Management Unit, but is it a boost dependant fuel pressure regulator or what?
