ok so when i'm driving my car it drives fine. when i give it full throttle in 1st and 3rd-4th gear(never had to go to 5th) my car pulls fine but when i'm in 2nd gear the car pulls strong until about 6k rpms then the motor seems to start sputtering but still whats to pull. so what could it be?

 

also forgot to mention that my car is boosted. i am currently running a d16y8 on 5lbs of boost,tial sport wastegate, hks bov, rc high impedence 750cc injectors, mallory external coil, and msd 8.5mm spark plug wires.

 

test the voltage coming from your TPS. it should be .5 volts at closed throttle and 4.5 to 5.0 volts at WOT. what computer are you running? has it been dyno tuned? you have bigger injectors but what fuel pump and filter are you using? the stock filter would hold up but the pump would be doing double duty to keep up with the added boost. a 155lph is the minimum i would use for your setup. stock would cut out at high rpms causing fuel starvation. hope this helps

 

I haven't checked the voltage on the tps sensor but now that you brought that up I will check it when I get a chance. Also i forgot to mention that I am running a 255lph walbro fuel pump but what fuel filter should I run instead of the stock one?

 

What's the fuel pressure? How old is the fuel filter?

 

I can't remember what my tuner set the fuel pressure at,,I think its set at 40ish And the fuel filter has been replaced previous by self but that was when the car probably had about 75k miles and now it has 119 k miles

 

There's a high demand for fuel at 6K rpm. You might want to replace the fuel filter and measure the fuel pressure at idle with and without the FPR vacuum hose connected.

 

Okay I will change out the fuel filter with a new one and measure the fuel pressure, but why does it just do it 2nd gear and not the other gears?

 

anyone else got any ideas?
