what can i do for my d17a2 gets more power????
hey guys...
i know d17a2 is too slow
but what can i do to change that??? i got some stuff...
aem intake (short bar)
header 4 -2 - 1
exhaust 2'' with the downpipe
aem cam gear (sprocket)
in the last dyno i got 132whp and 109 tq.
what can i do for more ???

However, using the Search feature is an entirely different scenario. The topic has been covered many, many times.
Since he already has a header, intake and exhaust, just tossing the cam in there would give it a little more umph.
Not sure how he managed to get 132whp horsepower with only a header, exhaust and intake, though. Hmmmm...

I/H/E + Stage 1 cam = 125 WHP ~ 143.75 assuming 15% powertrain loss, that was on stock ECU with a cat. I'm half way there now, need H/E.

The D17 handles a 75 shot of nitrous quite well. Kpro and a good tune is also a great mod.
I'd be interested in details on how you came up with your hp/tq numbers.....
As for the D16Y8 manifold swap it is possible although it takes some work. I'm running one on my D17A2. The head is not interchangeable. The oil passages don't line up.
