Wow. You guys like that low end wannabe torque feeling?
Did either of you try any retarded settings?</TD></TR></TABLE>
At the time I didn't know much about the gains or losses for +/-. My normal wrench put it on and adjusted it. From what I've seen retarding the cam gear doesn't seem to add much HP, but this isn't 1st hand experience. When I find a motor to rebuild I'll probably use the factory cam sprocket and not mess with the settings.

Re: D16 dyno results? (FifthGearOnline)
never updated this.... On a dynojet, the wheels saw 107.8HP @6000 I did 3 runs all only to 6000 just because the motor is so new still. Mind you timing is still stock and my ecu doesnt have vtec xover until 5600. Can't wait for the cam cuz I think its gonna rip. Thanks for the replies... and oh yeah... torque was 98.8 @6k.

May I ask why you removed you Y8 manifold in favor of the Z6...I have never heard of anyone doing this before.

My question exactly... unless the Y8 intake manifold doesn't work with the P28???

Re: D16 dyno results? (Mr. ThunderLips)
123hp 105tq - d16a6 dyno'd with over 200,000 miles; head still hasn't come off the block. Only parts are i/h/e, test pipe and Gude cam.
best time, 14.82@93, still pulled a 15.11@91 with over 280,000 miles (> 2150 lbs without driver).
Still want to get a y8 intake mani, b series t/b, cam gears, and headwork, but will wait until the motor needs a rebuild. Hoping to make 300,000 miles this year, just need to drop that motor in the "new" CRX!

Re: D16 dyno results? (Marauder)
I made seventeen passes on mine, when i went to the dyno.... Advanced 4 degrees worked the best, and i tried all of them.... but my car mad 121 horsepower at the wheels.... 178 with nos, no gauge and no bottle heater... guy at the dyno said with those things i should hit over 200.. Just look my oprevious posts up if you want to see the graph...

Re: D16 dyno results? (Mr. ThunderLips)
the z6 manifold is freer flowing and thus restricts less air when entering the engine. it's a simple design issue. once you see how it sits, you should understand. just tell a buddy with a d16z6 to pop open their hood for you.

The Y8 intake manifold actually flows better than the Z6.
