Default Discharging the A/C

I have a 1995 Odyssey LX. Can I disconnect the discharge hose without recovering the refrigerant first? Or am I going to lose an eye?

I just need to replace the tensioner bolt and the discharge hose is in the way.

remove any brackets on the line and gently bend the line out of your way.

do NOT disconnect any part of the system while its pressurized.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like I'm screwed, though; the line's unbendable, so I'm gonna have to have the system evacuated. Worse still, the replacement bolt Honda sold me isn't what was on there and they don't show the 1 I have being on the Odyssey. The mount bolt's too short & the adjusting screw's bigger in diameter.
