help: dimming lights and fan speeds...
what's up gang? Quick question for ya... I've got a 97 Dx with some sort of electrical problem. It would appear that my voltage fluctuates up and down when I'm driving normal (or even under load)... I can see my headlights, dash lights, getting bright and then dim, and it's so drastic some times, it looks like I'm flashing people with my hi-beams. Also, if the heater or AC is on, I can hear the fan spinning faster and slower with the lights going in and out.
Think this is my alternator? I don't notice it during the day becasue the lights are off and my windwos are down.
Any help would be appreciated!

I have the same issue with the lights flickering too on my 98 Ex. I was told before it's the alternator and expect to replace it soon but I've been all right so far. The only thing is it gets kind of annoying at times.
Cool... That's what I figured, but didn't know if there was some common *other* problem that occurs from time to time, like a voltage regulator or something of the sort. Anyways... looks like I'll be calling pep boys here soon. Thanks bro.
Here's the answer. It's not really the alternator itself. It's the voltage regulator. It's not keeping the alternator at 14.4volts. That's why you see lights dimming and getting brighter..
