Will a P75 ecu work better then a p28
ok just a quick qustion i have a 91 civic hatch with a chipped p28 ecu that wont let me get past 3500 rpms. I'm having a hard time finding a new one so i wanna know if a p75 or a p2e will work with the harness im already running
What are you running? And the P28 is a vtec ecu. A P75 is a non-vtec ecu. So if you are running a vtec engine, then the P75 ecu will not run the motor properly. And I'm thinking you are referring to a P2T ecu. That one is vtec, but is an OBD2 ecu. The P28 is obd1. Again, it depends on what you are running motor wise and Obd wise.

fix your busted car and then it will run better. get the right ecu it will run great. Check your VSS (speed sensor) if you have a cel and chipped ecu with launch control you wont be able to rev past that point

Ive seen a couple virgin p28 ecu in the marketplace the past few days try look there... also I would try to narrow down your problem first, maybe find a friend who has a SOHC vtec motor, and put your ecu in their car to see if that is actually the problem
THATS WHY I'M ASKING ON HERE CAUSE I'M NOT TOO FAMILIR WITH THE D SERIES, I HAD A CRX DOHC ZC ALL MOTOR ALL BOLT OF PARTS PUSHING 350 HP. BUT THIS IS MY FIRST CIVIC DON'T WANNA START MESSING WITH IT AND THEN SCREW SOME **** UP. AND FOR YOUR INFO ITS NOT BUSTED IT DRIVES FINE JUST THAT MINOR PROBLEM

Check to see if the ECU is chipped. If it is, then have it tuned or get a basemap programmed chip that is set up for your engine...

lol he's so proud of running a DOHC ZC wow great motor...not... anyway if you were smart u would notice this is a 92-00 civic forum not an EF forum second off gtfo if youre going to run nerdrage 3rd off use the search button and people told u what ecu so stop crying 4th off do some reaserch before you ask dumb questions reaserch what ecu's go to which car and than match
lol
=P
umm.. I don't know what the fully adjustable coil-overs or the black front and rear gsr seats have to do with why the car isn't revving past 3500rpm??
