Default Question on SI cluster

So I recently installed my SI cluster into my ek which looks perfectly fine but with a concern. Why doesn't it light up showing you what gear your currently on? Is this normal for all SI clusters or is something wrong with mine?

Another thing, what seems to be the problem if the bottom total mileage indicator doesn't move but only the top one seems to be working in a weird way. Reason is because my top mileage indicator doesn't seem to be working properly. It says 0000 and when I was driving my car for a while, it was still 0000 and slowly moving to 0009 but no other numbers were showing up only the 9 slightly. What seems to be the problem here?

I don't remember, did SIs come with automatics? I don't think so but don't hold me to it. If not that's you issue I think.

What car did you put this into?

It's a 99 civic, here is the related thread from earlier
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/si-cluster-into-ek-2956274/

And no USDM 92-00 Civic Si came with a automatic transmission, that's why it's not showing you what gear you are in, that green plug is for the gear selector indicator in your old cluster, so the 5 spd Si cluster wont have anywhere to plug it into.

Oh yah, si clusters are manual forgot about that. But I still have a question why my total mileage indicator isn't working as well as the top mileage indicator is working backwards.

It's broken would be my guess, try resetting the tripometer a few times

That's what I thought. Every time I say something definitely someone else comes along to prove me wrong.
