I have a 99 si, b16a2, si ecu. I got CEL p1457, which has to do with a leak in the EVAP system. I don't have a EVAP purge solenoid and I believe that is the problem. I have a hose coming out of my cannister marked "purge" that goes no where. I checked my helms and the hose should first lead to a purge joint, then to the purge solenoid. Does anyone know what the purge joint is? Is it necessary or can i just run a hose directly from my cannister to the purge control? thanks.
