ok my idle jumps like 700 to 1500 and keeps going and wont stop even with car at normal temp.

i cleaned the fitv and iacv and it stopped doing it for like a day then started to do it again. so now im stuck plz help this is really annoying

 

try another known good iacv

 

My car did the same thing and i was told to replace the header gasket and the problem has gotten better after a quick replacement. I guess there are various reasons as to why a car might idle at odd rpms and its mostly due to vacuum leaks.

 

My db1 does this same thing whenever it wants. I haven't been able to pin point the actual cause yet. Whats your name man, I'm from Austin too

 

my da9 JUST started doing something similar to this today, instead it goes from about 1k-2k. however, as it was still doing this, i decided to just drive it. when i hit a red light it stopped. the weather has been hot here lately so i dont THINK its a problem with the engine being cold?
