Icon6 ECT CEL

So, I have a CEL 6; ECT, I changed the sensor and ive jumped the plug to make sure the fan starts. The fan kicks on when its supposed to. But I cant clear the ECL and ive reset the ECU after every attempt of trouble shooting. Any ideas?

Code 6 is a problem with the circuit for the 2-wire ECT sensor located below the distributor, not the ECT fan switch on the thermostat housing.

The 2-wire sensor is forward (toward radiator) of the 1-wire sending unit.
